I’m the little baby my brother Jamoore is holding in the profile picture. I am also the man cheesing in the jersey in the cover photo! Seeing how T1D has impacted my brother through his life is why T1D  is so near and dear to my heart. JaMoore is nothing but a fighter, he is a reason I work as hard as I do today. JaMoore was diagnosed at 9, and as we have grown up together I’ve seen many ups and many downs. To date, he is on the transplant list in need of two new kidneys and a new pancreas. He must have dialysis 3 times a week in order to live, but wakes up every day with great attitude!

Type 1 diabetes is a serious autoimmune disease that impacts millions of people - its causes are not fully known, and currently, there is no cure. To manage their T1D, people regularly monitor their blood-sugar level, inject or infuse insulin through a pump, and carefully balance those doses with eating and daily activities to prevent uncomfortable, and even dangerous, side effects. Every single day.

This fundraiser is to support JDRF and its mission to help cure and manage T1D. Upon completion of the fundraising goal, I will bike 50 miles in Amelia Islands if I Raise $4000 and 100 miles with $6000
